One of the easiest ways to get to Tamarindo is to fly into the Daniel Oduber International Airport in the provincial capital of Liberia.  Liberia Airport receives over 40 regularly scheduled flights per week from major US and Canadian hubs.  From Liberia, it is a mere 45-minute drive to Bocaracá.  Those who arrive at the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San José can connect to frequent regional flights to Tamarindo offered by local airlines Sansa and Nature Air.  From Juan Santamaria International Airport it is a 4-hours drive to Bocaracá.

Bocaracá is located near the upscale residential community of Playa Langosta in Costa Rica’s Guanacaste province.  The site is bordered by an extensive municipal forest preserve to the east and the renowned Capitan Suizo and Cala Luna boutique hotels to the west.

The popular beach town of Tamarindo is an easy five-minute walk from Bocaracá and is home to a variety of restaurants, shops and services, including banks, travel agencies and supermarkets.  Tamarindo’s three-kilometer white sand beach is a favorite among surfers, sunbathers, beachcombers and anglers alike.  The southern end of the beach is only 250 meters from the Bocaracá.

Tamarindo enjoys warm temperatures averaging 85 degrees Fahrenheit year-round, with significantly less humidity than coastal regions to the south.  During “green season” from May to November, sunny mornings give way to refreshing tropical showers in the afternoon that terminate in spectacular sunsets.
